We are the beautiful class of Year 1 at St Pius X, Dubbo. There are 29 kids in our class, each with their own special gifts to offer. We are lucky to have two teachers, Mrs Campbell from Monday to Thursday and Mr Cant on Fridays.
Year 1 also have awesome helpers at different points during the week: Miss Goodwin, Mrs Knight, Miss Hinton, Mrs Smith and Mrs Jones.
This term we have had a pre-service teacher Miss Bennett. She fits in so nicely into our classroom and has been teaching us lots of wonderful things.
We have been learning about how addition and subtraction are related and how to solve these problems efficiently.
Mrs Campbell and Mr Cant read lots of books to us. Our favourite book is The Mess That We Made by Michelle Lord where we learnt about how important it is to put our rubbish in the bin and recycle when we can.
Miss Bennett has been teaching us about Australia and our neighbouring countries. We love being in this class!
