They’re known for their funny and light-hearted advertisements about people needing glasses, but this Thursday and Friday, November 23–24, Dubbo Specsavers are doing their bit for a very important cause.
The locally-owned and operated Specsavers is donating $5 for every purchase made of a pair of spectacles, to the Little Wings air transport service for country kids requiring medical airlifts to our big cities.
Little Wings provides free air and ground transport for seriously ill and injured children across regional and remote NSW, with the Central West one of the busiest locations across the State.
The service is aimed at relieving the travel fatigue assistance with long distance, chronic medical access and easing the burden to ensure ongoing access to life-saving medical treatment that is not available locally.
“With the funds raised for the Dubbo Specsavers Thursday and Black Friday sale, Little Wings will be able to support even more families over the coming month in the lead up to Christmas, the busiest time of year,” local Retail Director Claire Curtin said.
“We’re excited to work with Little Wings to reunite families over this festive season. As we’re locally-owned and operated, it’s one of our store values to give back to the community, and this is a great way of doing just that!” she added.
So come into Specsavers this Thursday or Friday for your next pair of glasses, and you can also help a fantastic not-for profit assisting local families in their time of greatest need.
