Police have charged hundreds of motorists across NSW with speeding, drink driving and drug offences during Operation Christmas/New Year 2024. In the local Western Region there was one fatality, officers detected 155 drug-affected drivers, and a driver was allegedly found to have blood alcohol reading of 0.084.

The operation ran from Friday, December 20, to Wednesday, January 1.
