It was 1981 when we first started hearing Slip, Slop, Slap, one of Australia’s most successful health campaigns where a very cheery, happy little seagull in board shorts, t-shirt and hat danced across our television screens singing the jingle, “Slip, Slop, Slap.” The catchy advertisement aimed to remind us to look after our skin with three easy ways of protecting ourselves against skin cancer by simply slipping on a t-shirt, slopping on some sunscreen, and slapping on a hat.
