In 2018 the Wellington Arts’ team dreamt of an event to celebrate Wellington’s rich multicultural history. It was the beginning of ‘Fong Lee's Lane’, and it was estimated 200 people would attend. Instead, the event attracted over 2500 people to Wellington. This year is a return for Fong Lee's Lane after a few years' hiatus, and it aims to be a vibrant celebration to “bring community together,” as organiser Lisa Thomas conveys.
