Bee-ware of the latest mite contamination

A statewide emergency has been issued and took effect from 6pm Sunday to stop the spread of varroa mite which is considered a threat to bees.

Minister for Agriculture Dugald Saunders said Dubbo and the state is in a fourth-tier general emergency zone, adding that no bees are to be transported across the state.
