Large numbers of Aboriginal artefacts found during construction of the Inland Rail link to Narromine have now been returned to the local Indigenous community.
More than 150 stone implements found during construction of the Parkes to Narromine section of the track – including a complete hand-axe and fragments that could be used for cutting tools – were discovered during a site survey in 2019.
