Don Hardie, pictured with wife Lorna, is a veteran of the famous Battle of Long Tan. He dressed up, complete with medals, for a commemoration of Vietnam Veteran’s Day at Dubbo’s Oak Tree Retirement Village.
Residents were invited to ask questions and Don answered them strongly, painting a vivid picture of just how horrible the reality of war really is.
