Dubbo Dame Leeanne Shields was in England when Queen Elizabeth II peacefully passed away.
Ms Shields was on a bus tour when she heard the staff saying the royal family have been summoned.
“We we’re going out to tea that night and the bus driver told us she was gone,” Ms Shields told Dubbo Photo News.
“A few of us had a cry on the bus.”
