This fine feathered fellow (or female?) was keeping a close watch on our photographer Steve Cowley, from high up on his perch overlooking the back yard.
We use the term “bird’s eye view” all the time in our regular speech, but did you know that the first recorded use of the term was in 1771, when it first described “a view from a high angle as if seen by a bird in flight”, according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
