1 min read

The recent Holi Mela 2025 festival — organised by the Dubbo Nepalese Community Australia (DNCA) — was a vibrant celebration that brought together nearly 800 attendees for a day filled with colour, culture, and community spirit.

DNCA President Rajiv Bhattarai expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that Holi Mela is more than just a festival — it is a celebration of unity, diversity, and togetherness. The event featured energetic cultural performances, live DJ music, and a variety of delicious food stalls.

The festival was honoured by the presence of esteemed guests, including Dubbo Mayor Cr Josh Black; State Member Dugald Saunders; Member of the Legislative Council Stephen Lawrence; Councillor Shibli Chowdhury; ORISCON President Gargi Ganguly, and many other distinguished guests.

Although the jumping castle had to be cancelled due to strong winds, the children were fully immersed in throwing colours, and their enthusiasm and excitement remained high, with attendees fully enjoying the vibrant festivities.

He further acknowledged that the success of Holi Mela 2025 was made possible by the tireless efforts of DNCA volunteers and other dedicated helpers, whose hard work ensured a seamless event. DNCA thanks all attendees for their participation and looks forward to an even bigger and more exciting celebration in the future.

President Rajiv Bhattarai extended special thanks to 2DU AM Radio 1251, Zoo FM 92.7, and Dubbo Photo News for their media support, as well as Touchwood Film Studio for capturing the beautiful moments of the event.

The event — held in partnership with ORISCON and Dubbo Regional Council — was generously supported by Seven Finance & Home Loan and Laxmi Home Loans.
