Orana Gardens is a not for profit organisation that pride itself in giving the best personalised care to all its residents.
Residents living with dementia are living with a progressive decline in their memory, intellect, rationality, physical and social skills which has severe impact on their lives and those around them.
At Orana Gardens, we are proud to provide cares for residents living dementia and ensuring they are living with love, dignity and respect.
The aim of the day is to raise the much-needed awareness for our residents living with dementia.
Our Awareness Day consists of information about dementia, showcasing our beautiful unit and increase interaction between our residents without dementia and our residents living with dementia.
Statistically, Dementia is now the second leading cause of death of all Australian and more than two-thirds of aged care residents have moderate to severe cognitive impairment which is an alarming number.
We would like to thank DANS and Seniors Rights for their information stands.
In addition, we would like to thank our residents and families for being a part of the day and staff for assisting and making the day beautiful and memorable.
