1 min read

The Central West Riders Dubbo hosted a fantastic charity ride on Saturday, April 5, raising more than $5500 to support Country Hope, who supports local families who have a child diagnosed with cancer or a life-threatening illness.

The event kicked off at Devil’s Hollow Brewery, with riders setting off on a scenic route through Dunedoo and Mendooran before returning to the Amaroo Hotel for an afternoon full of fun, community spirit and fundraising.

The crowd gathered for the charity auction, hosted by the ever-energetic auctioneer Lachie Mann, followed by the much-anticipated raffle draw and 200 Club announcement.

There was plenty to keep the younger crowd entertained with face painting by Rei Face Painting, and special visits from Spider Man, the Easter Bunny, and Kung Fu Panda thanks to Capes 4 Kids.

The team from Orana Support Services added to the festive atmosphere, serving up popcorn and fairy floss, much to the delight of the children.

The money raised will go a long way in helping to provide vital support to families in the region during some of the toughest times in their lives.

The organisers extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, donated and made the day such a success. It was a beautiful display of generosity, community connection and care.

Photos from the day captured the vibrant spirit of the event, showcasing a community coming together for a powerful cause.
