Former local Heidi Carolan was back in town recently for a very special reason – to lose her luscious locks in the name of charity.

Watched and assisted by friends, family, and members of the Dubbo branch of cancer support group CanAssist, Heidi’s hair hit the deck to raise funds for the work CanAssist does in helping those impacted by cancer across Dubbo and the region.

Heidi told Dubbo Photo News she shed a little tear as she watched her trademark tresses fall, but it was all in a very good cause – she raised more than $4650 for the cause.
